{"id":7452,"date":"2023-07-31T13:54:11","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T11:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bikersfestival.be\/?p=7452"},"modified":"2023-08-10T14:28:33","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T12:28:33","slug":"wayne-gardner-to-pay-tribute-to-the-career-of-didier-de-radigues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikersfestival.be\/en\/wayne-gardner-to-pay-tribute-to-the-career-of-didier-de-radigues\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Wayne Gardner to pay tribute to the career of Didier de Radigu\u00e8s<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Among the highlights of the 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;Bikers\u2019Festival organised by DG Sport over the weekend of 12<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;and 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;August, the exhibition paying tribute to Didier de Radigu\u00e8s\u2019 victory some 40 years later in the Grand Prix de Belgique 250cc on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, will naturally include the presence of the Belgian rider, who had become a commentator and TV presenter, and now a creative photographer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that\u2019s not all! Another major personality of motorbike Grand Prix, the Australian Wayne Gardner, has also confirmed his presence to pay tribute to the career of de Radigu\u00e8s. Now aged 63, Gardner spent his career in the premier category (500cc) with the Rothmans Honda team. Following a first victory in 1986 on the Spanish Jarama circuit, he clinched the world title one year later, winning on seven occasions. Having teamed up with Randy Mamola and Mick Doohan, he ended his sporting career on two-wheels in 1992, with 18 Grand Prix to his name.
