Bikers'Festival Michael Dunlop, King of the Isle of Man TT, at the Bikers’Festival!
As part of the Bikers’Festival to be held on 12th and 13th August, the Bikers’Classics will have the pleasure of counting on the exceptional presence of a living legend in the world of motorbike racing: the Irishman Michael Dunlop! The 34-year-old built his reputation on a string of successes during the most awesome of events: the Isle of Man TT! A Tourist Trophy that defies the laws of speed and courage every year, during which Micky D has already claimed an astonishing 25 victories, and climbed on to the podium on 40 occasions! Son of Robert Dunlop, nephew of Joey Dunlop and brother of the late William Dunlop, Michael Dunlop is also known for having been the first rider to complete the Isle of Man course in less than 17 minutes. Master of road racing, he has however never had the opportunity of completing a single lap of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps! A gap that will be filled during the Bikers’Festival, which will see the Irishman ride a 2006 ex-works Suzuki SRAD SBK which he will use during the Classic TT two weeks later.
It is in close collaboration with Steve Wheatman’s Team Classic Suzuki that the presence of Michael Dunlop at the Bikers’Classics was made official.
